Overall this year has slightly exceeded my expectations so far.
And it really sets us up nicely for the next few years.
We came out of the gate firing...and then returned to the mean a little of late. But I am surprised that the ACC on the whole is better than I expected...and that is a good thing.
125#, 133#, 141#, 157#, and 285# are all almost precisely where I thought they would be and I do believe they have two more opportunities to surprise.
174# and 197# were largely unknowns and somewhat inconsistent, but overall the trend has been upward. An opportunistic move could create a big upset in the ACCT or NCAAT (should they get a little lucky and qualify).
165# too soon to tell. Lately has fallen off, but McF has way too much cred to judge yet. Let's see what happens. Unfortunately, the expectations for McF were NCAAT finals or bust so the bar was soooo high to begin with.
184# Bolen has been a solid a very nice surprise as he has climbed the rankings to a legitimate contender, not just a AA guy. (although not really a surprise per se) last match notwithstanding, but that is an anomaly IMHO.
So without the evidence of ACCT/NCAAT performance, I would say we are slightly above my expectations...but there is a lot of matches left that could swing the pendulum pretty wide. That being said I am sure there are a few things Robie will be working on in the off season.
